My current work is collecting invasive plants in Maine, and cook the plants down to make paper and artwork. It is an intensive process to harvest, cut, cook, and beat the plant material before the papermaking process. I started this new project in the Summer of 2026 by collecting Mugwort, spearmint, and sweet grass. I will be harvesting more plants for paper in 2027 and incorporating the papers I make into my work. I have included a few photos and a short video of the paper beating process.
